Canadian Summer Camp
The 2026 Canadian Summer Camp was organized by Canada Branch Chief Shihan Stuart Corrigal from July 31st to August 3rd at Ashton Creek, British Columbia. This year marked 38 years of Canadian Summer Camps being held at this location.
Despite challenging weather conditions, including temperatures in the high 30 Celsius and lingering smoke from forest fires in the surrounding region, the camp was successfully completed with more than 200 IKO Canadian members from 22 dojos across Western Canada. Sessions were led by Shihan Corrigal, supported by 12 senior instructors. Kihon, Ido, Goshin Jitsu, Weapons, Conditioning, and Kumite were covered. Dan/Kyu examination completed the camp.
