The 39th European Weight Category Karate Championships

The 39th European Weight Category Karate Championships was held on May 16^th and 17^th in Varna, Bulgaria, organized by Bulgaria Branch Chief Shihan Emil Kostov, supervised by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. The Mayor of the Municipality of Varna officially opened the championships. Approximately 900 competitors from 22 countries took part in the two-day Championships. The first day of the competition started with kata and kumite for 8 to 15 years old juniors and the second day for 16 to 17 years old junior, seniors, men and women. On May 19^th, IKO Training Seminar was conducted.
