IKO Honbu is proudly presents the 2014 International Karate Friendship (IFT) and
IKO's 50^th Anniversary in April, 2014. IFT will hold the following championships, tournaments and competitions. These events will be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on April 19~20.

April 18 (Friday)  

l  IFT Competitors & Second, Prospect Judges/Referees check-in (Team check-in only) from 10:30am~18:00pm at Nippon Seinennkan Hotel in Sendagaya. (BC/DOP, please refer to the Team Check in schedule for your team check in time)

l  Dogi, Belt, Official Protective Gears check, BC Discount Dogi pick up (official gears purchase available at Nippon Seinenkan Hotel on April 18 and in the venue on 19~20 April.)

l  IKO Officiating Seminar and Examination starts from 14:30pm~Tokyo at No1 meeting room in Tokyo Taiikukan in Sendagaya. Prospect Judges/Referees must apply in advance and attend the course to be in the judging team.

April 19 (Saturday)  IFT 2014  Day 1

l  8:00  Doors Open at Tokyo Taiikukan for everyone (competitors, spectators, seconds, judge team, BC & DOP)

l  9:00  20^th Anniversary of Sosai Oyama Memorial (Admissions free for IKO members. IFT competitors and seconds will be seated in the 2^nd Floor. Branch Chiefs and Official Dojo Operators must wear jacket, black tie, white shirts, trousers and leather shoes to enter the main area.

l  10:10  IFT competitors pickup souvenirs and official pamphlet at arena.(10 mats)
*Late check in for foreign branch competitors possible.

l  11:20  Opening Ceremony

l  11:50  Individual Kata competition start -- final results will be announced. Award ceremony in dogi will be held at the end of the day after Kumite competition finished.   

l  13:40  Kumite competition start; Junior KUMITE 12~17yr Boys & Girls

l  17:30 Award/ Closing Ceremony

April 20 (Sunday)  IFT 2014  Day 2

l  9:30  Doors open at Tokyo Taiikukan for everyone (competitors, spectators, seconds, judge team, BC & DOP)

l  9:40  IFT competitors pickup souvenirs and official pamphlet at arena.(10 mats)
*Late check in for foreign branch competitors possible.

l  10:40  Opening Ceremony

l  11:10  Team Kata competition start; 11 teams

l  12:50  Kumite competition start; Junior Boys & Girls KUMITE 5~11yr,  Senior KUMITE,  Women's World

l  18:30  Closing ceremony

l  19:15  IKO World BC/DOP meeting at Nihon Seinenkan Hotel 4F Dinner Hall

l  19:30  Dinner with Kancho and World BC/DOP* at Nihon Seinenkan Hotel 4F. Space limited *All BC/DOP are strongly recommended to attend. (Please send your attendance in return email)

April 21~22 (Monday ~ Tuesday) International Training Camp/ Dan Test in Mt. Mitsumine

l  Detail camp schedule will be available at April 18 Check in. (Camp ticket required)

l  Dan test application must be pre-approved by Honbu.

April 22~23 (Wednesday ~ Friday) Intensive Course for 4^th & 5^th Dan candidate in Ebisu Dojo, Tokyo

l  Trainings start 10:00 at Ebisu Dojo in Ichigeki Plaza 4F.

April 26  (Saturday) 100 men Kumite

l  Participants gather at 12:00pm, Event starts from 13:00 pm at Ebisu Dojo; Space limited for BC/DOP, spectators and participants. See information on April 18. Space limited for BC/DOP, spectators and participants. See information on April 18.

~Important Notes~

l  All IFT competitors including individual and Team Kata must bring IKO ID Card, Dogi & Obi, Passport and Doctor's OK issued in 2014. (NO HIV is required) Must sign a Waiver Form (forms by team will be ready at Honbu on April 18).

l  Please note that Honbu Dojo in Ikebukuro will be closed during the period between 18~20 April.
