Kyokushinkaikan introduced a premium tier subscription membership, “KYOKUSHIN PRIME” on its official streaming service, KYOKUSHIN ONLINE. “KYOKUSHIN PRIME” will livestream the 100 MAN KUMITE challenge of the 12 World Open Champion, Ueda Mikio on April 25, 2021.<\/p>\n

Current World Champion Ueda Mikio, who will defend the Title at the 13th World Open Karate Championship in 2023, will undertake the 100 MAN KUMITE ~ a challenge that several have attempted, but only nine have succeeded during its 50 year history, including most notably, Kancho Matsui Shokei and Shihan Francisco Filho.<\/p>\n
It has been 22 years since a Japanese fighter challenged the 100 MAN KUMITE, and for the first time since 1995, the match-time will be returned to the original 2-minutes per opponent from the 90-seconds, as originated by founder Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.<\/p>\n
In respect of pandemic protocols and capacity restrictions, 40 select opponents have been chosen to rotate opposite Ueda, all with excellent competitive records at All Japan Championship, and several of Japan’s most renowned fighters. As a safety measure, only pre-screened opponents and staff will have access to the Dojo, where the Kyokushinkaikan will livestream the 100 MAN KUMITE globally for the first time in history.<\/p>\n
The 100 MAN KUMITE is a much-anticipated event and a valuable opportunity for the Kyokushinkaikan family to witness this remarkable feat, LIVE around the world. Challenger Ueda has expressed his determination, stating, “I will fight to the end, even in the toughest situation.
