Canadian Winter Camp

The Canadian Winter Camp 2026 was held from February 20th to 22nd, in the North Okanagan region of British Columbia. The camp was organized by Shihan Stuart Corrigal, IKO Canada Branch Chief. Sensei Shoki Arata joined the camp as a guest instructor. 96 IKO Canada members participated in the camp covering Kihon, Ido, Kata, Bunkai, Kumite, Goshin Jitsu, Happo-no-Kuzushi, and Buki-jitsu. Sensei Arata focused on advanced Kumite sessions for championship preparation. The camp was the first step for those grading for IKO Black Belts in 2026. Tameshiwari, written test and conditioning test were conducted for all dan candidates.
