Canadian Black Belt Camp

The annual Canadian Black Belt Camp was held from June 9th to 11th, in the North Okanagan region of western Canada, under the auspices of Canadian Branch Chief, Shihan Stuart Corrigal.

 

The 3-day camp provided training in all aspects of Kyokushin Karate with a number of senior Canadian instructors leading various aspects of training. Kihon, Ido, Kumite combinations, Kata, Happo no Kuzushi & Goshin Jitsu were covered. New Zealand members, Sensei Maria Hooper & Buzz Burhan attended the camp. Senpai Diana Korobka, a new addition to Canada from the Ukraine, joined the camp.


 

IKO Canada continues to move forward and rebuild Kyokushin Karate in Canada after the worldwide challenges of the past several years.
