The 9th Balkan Weight Category Karate Championships was held on March 19th in Varna, Bulgaria, organized by Bulgaria Branch Chief Shihan Emil Kostov. The Director of Varna Sports Authority, Mr. Kristiyan Dimitrov opened the event and 362 competitors from Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, Greece, Turkey, Romania and Ukraine, participated in kumite and kata divisions.
