On November 5 and 6 in Myslenice, Poland, the 19th European Open Karate Championships and European Cup was held organized by Poland Branch Chief Shihan Jacek Czerniec, under the leadership of Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. The championship was attended by 580 competitors from 19 countries. The Men Open category was a selection event for the 13th World Open Karate Championship which will take place in November 2023 in Tokyo.
