The 34th European Weight Category Karate Championships was held in Katowice, Poland on November 13th and 14th, organized by Poland Branch Chief Shihan Jacek Czerniec and Sensei Darius Lyczko, and presided over by IKO International Department Director, Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. 650 participants from 22 countries took part in the championships. On November 12th, IKO Officiating Seminar was held for more than 3 hours to cover changes of Kumite and Kata rules. In Men's Kumite category, a new Feather Weight (-60kg) was introduced. On November 15th, IKO International Training Seminar was conducted and new kata movements were covered.
