This is to officially announce that the IKO Kyokushinkaikan presentation of The 2020 International Karate Friendship, scheduled for April 2020 in Tokyo, Japan, has been postponed for health and safety reasons. IKO Honbu is planning to reschedule the event later this year. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updated information by late May or June.
IKO Honbu-sanctioned Championships and events around the world have been cancelled, and many countries are closing their borders, and cities are currently locked down. Coronavirus / COVID-19 is an unprecedented global threat. Though we must temporarily suspend in-person gatherings to keep our communities safe, we must keep calm, and continue to maintain the good health and spirit of our worldwide Kyokushin family.
