The 18th All Asia Weight Category Karate Championships and 2019 All Asia Friendship Karate Tournament were held in Shanghai, China on July 27th, organized by IKO China Branch Chiefs Sensei Xiao Lei Wang and Sensei Huang Wei Dong, presided over by IKO International Department Director, Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. Approximately 200 participants from 16 Asia and Middle East countries, including China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, Philippines, Sir Lanka, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Korea, Thailand, Dubai, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Iran, and African Island Reunion, took part in the championships. On July 28th, IKO Training Seminar and Dan Test was conducted and 40+ participants enjoyed 3-hour-long intensive training.
