All Russian Karate Championships was held on October 7th and 8th in Moscow, organized by IKO Russia Branch Chief Shihan Alexander Ipatov. On a day after the championships, Kancho Shokei Matsui conducted a special training session, assisted by Shihan Stuart Corrigal, Shihan Katsuhito Gorai and Shihan Artur Hovhannisyan. More than 300 IKO Russian instructors and black belts participated. The first segment was led by Shihan Stuart Corrigal for 2 hours and kihon & self defense techniques were covered. After a short break, Kancho Matsui started the session. He focused on new techniques according to IKO rule changes. The session was extended due to IKO Russian member's enthusiastic reaction to his teaching, and it was lasted for more than 2.5 hours. Kancho encouraged young competitors to be future champions, and all participants enjoyed this rare opportunity. Osu!
