Russian Summer Camp was held at Anapa by Black Sea, organized by IKO Russia Branch Chief Shihan Alexander Ipatov from July 25 to August 1. Guest instructor was Shihan Artur Hovhannisyan from IKO Honbu and approximately 400 Russian members from all over Russia participated.

There were 3 training sessions in a day, including kihon, stamina exercises and fighting techniques under the new rules. One day was fully devoted game competitions called "Shin Gi Tai" (means mind, technique and body in Japanese), and all participants including Shihan Hovhannisyan enjoyed sumo, kendo, general physical challenges and kata. Kyu and Dan examination was held on the last day of the camp.
