The 4th Balkan Karate Championships was held in Varna, Bulgaria, on March 13, 2016, and organized by IKO Bulgarian Branch Chief Shihan Emil Kostov. Approximately 150 competitors from Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Moldova, Turkey and Bulgaria participated in the event. All the competitors, in the Men, Women, Junior and Senior categories, gained great experience in preparation for the upcoming, 30th European Weight Category Karate Championships, scheduled for May 21 and 22, 2016 again in Varna.
