The 2nd Friendship Gasshuku was held in Sydney, Australia at the Academy of Sport from February 19 to 21, 2016, and was hosted by IKO Kyokushinkaikan Branch Chief Shihan Trevor Tockar and the North Bondi Dojo. Guest instructors included Shihan Kenny Uytenbogaardt, Shihan Stuart Corrigal, Sensei Joji Hibino, and Sensei Alejandro Navarro. The camp was attended by over 100 participants, including 32 kids & teens. Five training sessions were scheduled per day with 13 hours of training done over the duration of the weekend. Instructors covered kihon, ido geiko, kata, fighting footwork, bagwork drills, fighting combinations and strategy, and goshin jutsu. The camp concluded with a Dan examination. A seminar week followed the camp from 22 to 25 February, where guest instructors conducted individualized sessions and classes at North Bondi Dojo and Caringbah Dojo.
