International Training Camps in Japan

Main.jpg IKO International Training Camps were held following the 11th World Open competitive events, welcoming approximately 400 participants from around the world. Two camps were held simultaneously November 24~25, at the Mt. Mitsumine shrine, and at Lake Yamanaka at the foot of Mt Fuji. The Mitsumine Camp was led by Kancho Shokei Matsui, and an international Dan grading examination was conducted. The Lake Yamanka Camp was led by Shihan Yuzo Goda assisted by Shihan Francisco Filho. Following the excursions outside of Tokyo, more detailed training was conducted at the "IKO Intensive Training Course", held at the brand new IKO Honbu Daikanyama Dojo and FLUX fitness center November 26~28. Approximately 50 black belts attended daily practice specifically targeted to advanced ranks and instructors. In addition, the IKO presented and introductory "Ichigeki Workshop" open to all attendees, held at the Ichigeki Academy housed at Daikanyama, and led by Shihan Francisco Filho. IKO International Camps, Workshops and Seminar Courses held in Japan and around the world, are essential for IKO international members to sharpen their skills and share camaraderie with their peers and high ranking members of our extended Kyokushin family.
