The Grand Prix Mercedes Moldova Cup Karate Championships was held in Chisinau on October 10th, organized by IKO Moldova Branch Chief Sensei Traian Velixar. Approximately 300 competitors participated from 6 neighboring countries including Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Belarus, Poland, and Russia. Kancho Shokei Matsui accompanied by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai oversaw the weekend festivities. On October 11th, Kancho Matsui's training seminar was conducted and all participants enjoyed the rare occasion. The Championships in Chisinau have been successfully developing each year, and we look forward to seeing further growth in the future.
