The IKO Youth weekend "Meet the Heroes 2015" was held nearby the city of Bergen op Zoom in the Netherlands from June 5-7. This event was a try-out youth-camp with senior students also participating in a separate group. The camp was organized by the Dutch DOP's Gosse Meerstra, Lilian Mungra, Boleslaw Stefanow and instructor Rudolf Conquet with almost 60 members participating.
There were several inspiring trainings in the beautiful surrounded areas as well as training in the large sports hall. After Kyu-examinations on Saturday, participants all enjoyed an excellent and delicious barbecue.
The special guests were Shihan Jacek Czerniec, branch chief of Poland and Sensei Slawomir Urbanczyk, branch chief of Germany with both giving very interesting trainings. The organizers were very happy with the good cooperation between the Netherlands, Poland and Germany and hope to have an even greater event next year in 2016.
