The Asia & Middle East Open Karate Championship was held in Tehran, Iran on May 1, 2015 and hosted by IKO Iran Branch Chief Shihan Seyed Mohammadi. Kancho Shokei Matsui, Shihan Katsuhito Gorai, and Shihan Peter Chong oversaw the event.
The following day on May 2, 2015, Kancho Matsui led an IKO Training Seminar with more than 400 black belt participants from across the Middle East region. The tournament was a great success, showcasing the exceptional fighters preparing for the World Open this November in Tokyo. The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for participants to benefit from Kancho's detailed instruction and philosophy.
