West Russian Winter Camp was held from February 12 to 15 at Chekhov, Moscow Region, organized by Russian Branch Chief Shihan Victor Belov. Shihan Francisco Filho from Brazil was a guest instructor, and 254 participants enjoyed 2-day-intensive sessions covering kihon, kata and kumite techniques with stamina training. Shihan Filho lectured his Kyokushin history, his long and hard way to the world champion with humor. In addition to karate sessions, all participants completed 30 km marathon "Challenge to your limits" and the first place was Bezrukov Nikita with 2 h 34 min finish.
107 persons took part in promotion examination at the last day of the camp. All participants enjoyed the time spent together with Shihan Filho and all Russian members hope to see him again soon.
