Russian Annual National Winter Camp

Main.JPG The annual national winter camp for instructors and fighters of the highest level was held from January 14th to 19th in Moscow, Russia organized by IKO Branch Chief Shihan Alexander Ipatov.
300 coaches and top fighters from 38 regions of Russia took part along with guest instructors Shihan Yuzo Goda who was the main instructor and Shihan Artur Hovhannisyan from IKO Honbu. Shihan Goda made training interesting and shared not only his technical skills but also answered questions from participants and spoke about the formation of Kyokushin and the life of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.
During the very intense 4 day camp there were 10 training sessions. Shihan Alexander Ipatov, Shihan Sergey Gerasimov and Shihan Valentin Gedz assisted and helped Shihan Yuzo Goda. One of the training session was held by Shihan Artur Hovhannisyan and kumite sessions were conducted under the guidance of the best coaches and fighters from the IKO Russia Organization.
On the last day there was a Dan test supervised by Shihan Yuzo Goda. 60 fighters went on a 5 hour test, and at the end they were tested in Kumite by the national team fighters.
