The Ukrainian Championship for kumite was held in Kiev on October 11th, organized by IKO Ukrainian Branch Chief Shihan Stanislav Bliznyuk. 150 participants from 17 region of Ukraine took part in the event including Branch Chiefs Shihan Victor and Anatoliy Matiushin, Victor Maxymov, Sensei Oleg Ovechkin and Shihan Anatoliy Nebesniy. Almost 1500 spectators came to support the fighters with information of the event being broadcasted on major Television channels and also on the TV news.
