IKO International Training Camp at Mt. Mitsumine

IKO International Training Camp was held at Mt. Mitsumine in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, from April 21 to 22.  Approximately 270 participants from all over the world participated in the training sessions led by IKO Kyokushinkaikan Advisor, Shihan Yuzo Goda and assisted by Shihan Kenny Uytenbogaardt, Shihan Stuart Corrigal, Shihan Katsuhito Gorai and Shihan Francisco Filho.

After paying respects to Sosai Mas Oyama's Memorial, which is situated on the temple grounds, the 1st training session was held outdoors in the fresh mountain air. Simultaneously, approximately 30 people took a Dan Examination indoors in the traditional Hotokuden room of the shrine. Due to extremely wet conditions, Mt. Mitsumine had a rough landslide, so unfortunately Kyokushin traditional waterfall training had to be suspended, however the 2nd Day's session began at sunrise outdoors in the woods, and participants could experience training at Sosai Oyama's traditional training grounds.
