IKO Intensive Training Course

Main.jpg The 3-day IKO Intensive Training Course was held from April 23 to 25, 2014 at IKO Honbu Ebisu Dojo in Tokyo; over 30 IKO Black Belt Instructors participated in the course immediately following Mitsumine Camp. Shihan Katsuhito Gorai led the sessions targeting IKO high ranking members. Two sessions were taught by Kancho Matsui, who focused on the importance of basic training and encouraged all participants to use their imagination and creativity in applying basic techniques to further develop their and their students' skills. Kihon, advanced Ido Geiko, Kata including Bo, and Kumite techniques were covered mid-week, and on the last day, Friday, Shihan Francisco Filho conducted a special introductory Ichigeki Seminar in the afternoon.
IKO Honbu will conduct this intensive course regularly, and Kancho encourages all IKO Instructors to attend this course often in order to continuously refresh their personal training, as well as keep abreast of updated techniques and curriculum.
