Ukraine Branch Report

Main.jpg 3 events took part in Ukraine, the Open Championship of the Dnipropetrovsk region, 3rd Youth Championship of Kherson and a training seminar in the city of Poltava.

The Open Championship of the Dnipropetrovsk region among children and adults was held on November 30th with 230 members from 8 cities of Ukraine taking part. Ukrainian branch chief Shihan Stanislav Blizniuk supported the championship which also had a demonstration of fighting and tameshiwari(breaking demonstration).

The 3rd Youth Championship of Kherson was also held on November 30th with 197 beginners from white belt to 9 Kyu brown taking part. Sempai Igor Dotsenko traditionally organizes the championship with the support of the Kherson Federation of Kyokushin karate as well as young instructors and their students. Each year the number of participants and the level of fighting is increasing.

And lastly a training seminar was held in the city of Poltava on November 30th and December 1st under the guidance of Branch Chief Shihan Sergei Vsevolodov. 147 members took part from 6 cities of the Poltava region. During the two days, there were 4 training sessions focusing on the variety of combinations of blocks and punches with change of speed.
