National Kumite and Kata Seminar in Jozefow, Poland

Main.jpg The National Kumite and Kata Seminar was held in Jozefow, near Warsaw on October 5th, 2013 organized by Official Dojo Operator Pawel Juszczyk. The main goal of the seminar was to prepare competitors for the 2013 European Youth Championships. 160 fighters and trainers from IKO dojos across Poland took part. For many participants aged 12-18, it was the last opportunity to verify their level of preparation for the European Youth Championships, which will be held on October 26th 2013, in Katowice.
The seminar consisted of three parts. The first was Kata training which was conducted by sensei Izabela Sularz, Emil Słabon and Kamil Dubiel - the leading Polish Kata competitors, who are also known for their coaching successes.
The second part composed of short fighting technique training, conducted by Shihan Eugeniusz Dadzibug followed by a Kumite session.
The third part was a meeting with a sports psychologist, which was titled "You can train your mind as well as your body". All interested fighters, trainers and parents took part. During that time, BC's and DOP's had a meeting on important issues concerning the activities of the Polish IKO.
This seminar in Jozefow was the first national seminar which was originally a training session for the top seven fighters from North East Poland training for competition.
