The IKO East Canada Training Seminar was held on October 19th and 20th in Montreal, Canada. The seminar was organized by IKO Canadian Branch Chief Shihan Andre Gilbert.
Kancho Shokei Matsui led the camp, assisted by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. The first session was attended by approximately 70 youth members, who trained hard under Kancho's guidance. Kancho also treated the youths to his reflections on growing up in Kyokushin and his training methods.
On the second day, two sessions were held. The first one was geared for all ranks and ages, and the last session was for advanced students only. Kancho covered everything from basics to fighting techniques and approximately 500 participants participated in the invaluable and successful weekend intensive in Quebec.
