2013 Hungarian Summer Camp

Main.jpg The 2013 Hungarian Summer Camp was held from July 29th to August 2nd organized by Branch Chief Shihan Karoly Halasz. The venue was at a small town in Pilismarot City which is near the border of Hungary and Slovakia separated by the Danube River. 200 members from Slovakia, Poland, Serbia and host country Hungary participated from 19 Dojo's. Italy Branch Chief Shihan Tsutomu Wakiuchi was the guest instructor for this camp which is in its 15th year.
Participants trained 3 times a day. The morning session was physical training, the afternoon was Kihon, Ido and Kata and in the evening they trained Kumite combinations and self-defense.
On July 31th was a Dan Test in the early morning and the participants were tested to perform all the skills as written in the IKO Technical syllabus (push up, flexibility, Stick Jump, Handstand Walking, Kihon, Ido, Kata and Kumite).
The motto of the camp was "Keep your head low (modesty), eyes high (ambition), mouth shut (serenity); base yourself on filial piety and benefit others." - The Kyokushin Philosophy
