Summer Camp in Akmola, Kazakhstan

main.JPG From July 10 till 17, 2013 IKO Kazakhstan Branch Chief, Sensei Alimzhan Moldagaliyev organized annual summer training camp at Buraba resort in the Akmola region. Sensei Joji Hibino, a guest instructor from Honbu Tokyo trained 100 athletes and oversaw the exam. Participants gathered from the cities of Astana, Almaty, Kokshetau, Semey, Shemonaikha Temirtau, Karaganda and Taraz. Trainings were conducted twice a day focusing on Ido, Kata and their applications in fighting. 10Km marathon was held on 16, July where Senpai Aldashov came first to finish with the 44min 11sec time. The last day on July 17, 35 people took the Dan/Kyu test which started from 10am and finished at 3pm. Welcoming parties were hosted at Sensei Moldagaliev's house and also at Senpai Abilkairov's house where regional instructors and instructor from Japan spent time together enjoying Kazakhstan's meat dishes with the sound of traditional guitar called "Donbura".
