Former Kyokushin World Champion Ewerton Teixeira fought in the Imperium MMA Pro 1 on January 19th, 2013 in Salvador, Bahia in Brazil at the Espaco Realle Hall. Teixeira won by decision after 3 rounds against Ednaldo Novaes in which was his second fight in MMA. Teixeira's Sensei and Brazilian Branch Chief Shihan Seiji Isobe gave his thoughts of the fight: At the start Ewerton looked confused since Novaes came forward very aggressively regardless of the outcome. I'm relieved that he was able to calmly control himself and win by getting points striking and kicking Novaes in the face. His 3rd and next fight is planned to be in March or April so I'll like to start preparing for that.
