The IKO Training Seminar was held in San Jose, Costa Rica from November 23 to 25. IKO Costa Rica Branch Chief, Sensei Erik Goldberg hosted this seminar which was overseen by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. Primary training sessions and Promotion tests were conducted at the main branch in Escazu, with approximately 100 students from kids to senior members, and one dedicated session was held at Headquarters of Banco LAFISE (Bank of Latin American Financial Service) for bank executives and staff members.
IKO Costa Rica Branch has developed rapidly with a lot of energy in the last few years and now the 2012 All Japan Open Champion, Senpai Alejandro Navarro is a full time instructor in San Jose, Costa Rica. We hope he will inspire all Costa Rican members to advance to the next level and look forward to seeing many champions emerge from Central America in the future.
