The Open Championship of Kiev was held on September 22nd, 2012 organized by Branch Chief Sensei Oleg Ovechkin of Ukraine at the Palace of Sports of the Kiev Polytechnical institute. 234 fighters participated from 24 regions of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Poland. The categories were children, young men, juniors, and adults for Kumite and Kata. Many Branch Chiefs from Ukraine was present to support the championship.
