On October 6, 2012 the first Open Moldova Cup Karate Kyokushinkai "Grand-Prix Mercedes" was held in Kishinev, Moldova as the opening event of the new Dojo organized by Branch Chief Sensei Traian Velixar. 152 fighters from Moldova and Ukraine of children, cadets and juniors participated in the first tournament in Moldova under the name of IKO. Participants showed very good levels of preparation, beautiful technique and a true kyokushin spirit.
