The anual IKO Los Angeles Training Seminar was held from September 8th to 9th at Manhattan Beach, California, organized by Branch Chief, Sensei Patrick Fard. Shihan Katsuhito Gorai, lead the camp which was attended by West Coast USA Branch Chiefs and Dojo Operators and approximately, 100 Los Angeles area IKO members from children to seniors participating. On the first day, training was held at a traditional Japanese shrine. The second day training started at the Manhattan Beach Pier overlooking the Pacific Ocean at 6am with Seiza Mokuso to wait for the sunrise. The final training session was held at Sensei Fard's Manhattan Beach Kyokushin Branch where weapons training in "Bo" was introduced.
