The traditional West-Russian summer camp was held on August 1st thur 10th in Anapa, Russia organized by Branch Chiefs Victor Belov and Alexey Bashlykov. The guest instructor was Sensei Tagahara Masafumi from Japan. More than 680 participants under the leadership of Sensei Tagahara practiced in kihon, ido, kata and kumite everyday. Special attention was paid to bunkai and zazen-meditation. Some kumite- training was organized by Sensei Lechi Kurbanov and Sensei Vasily Timofeev. Students also took part in different sports competitions, and the famous 30 km marathon with Sensei Tagahara successfully completing the full distance. On August 10th was a kyu-dan-test with 390 participants.
