The European Junior Karate Championships

The European Junior Karate Championships were held in Warsaw, Poland on December 17, 2011, organized by IKO Polish Dojo Operator Sensei Rafal Tomala.  Approximately 140 competitors from 7 European countries, aged 14-17 years, participated in 18 divisions of Kumite and Kata.  Russia took the most titles, with 11, followed by Poland, Romania and Italy.  IKO youth members are developing rapidly worldwide.  The largest Youth championships in the world is held every year in Tokyo, Japan at the IKO International Kyokushin Friendship.  The Friendship event  is scheduled for April 14 and 15, 2012.  Registration will open in January 2012, apply via IKO Honbu.
